Founder, Rx4CX
Richard Schwartz is the founder of Rx4CX and the originator of Experience as a Medicine — a framework for improving clinical and commercial outcomes through better customer experiences in life sciences.
He works with pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations to diagnose, design, and operationalize experiences that directly impact access, adherence, and performance across the value chain — from research and clinical development to patient care.
Richard's work focuses on a core gap in the industry: organizations do not fail due to lack of strategy or science, but due to an inability to consistently help patients, providers, and partners move forward. The experiences we have as patients and as providers have clinical implications. Brands that understand, optimize, and nurture experiences enhance both clinical and financial outcomes.
To address this, he developed proprietary approaches including the Helpfulness Index, MAE (Minimally Acceptable Experience), and KQ (Kindness Quotient) — each designed to connect experience to measurable business and clinical outcomes such as revenue acceleration, waste reduction, and improved persistence.
He has advised and partnered with leading life sciences organizations across medical, commercial, and executive functions, helping teams move beyond fragmented CX efforts toward integrated, outcome-driven systems.
